We’re a not for profit organisation that has been formed with a few common goals. As a group of keen cyclists, we've decided to make a positive contribution by trying to help bring some smiles to those who deserve them but due to circumstances out of their control, they're in a position where they can’t afford to buy a bike of their own.
For many of us, we can all remember jumping on our first bike and pushing down on a pedal to turn the crank and experience of first experience of cycling. After learning to walk and talk, one of the next significant milestones in our lives was the day that the stabilisers came off and suddenly we were free!
Sadly, to many kids, this is a memory they might never have as through no fault of their own or their parents, they’re in a position where their first bike is nothing but just a dream.
Not only do we hope to make dreams come true but, by jumping on a bike, we can all make huge improvements to our health.
Through our free to donate scheme, we'll arrange collection of your unwanted bike which we'll then repair and service, bringing it to a condition that will enable someone else to benefit from it now that you've finished with it. Along the way, we also hope to be able to give much needed opportunities to some school leavers by giving them the opportunity to learn basic cycle mechanic skills. At the moment we're based in Kent, Wiltshire and South London but hope to be working from a base within the Midlands early in 2012 though. Having said that, we'll do our best to collect your unwanted cycle from wherever you are, the location isn't important to us.
All cycles will be gratefully received, those that can't be repaired will be used for spares so no matter what condition your cycle is in, we'd appreciate it.
